Carl is Sitzberger & Company’s President where he oversees and manages a multitude of tax issues including:
- Federal income tax preparation and planning
- Multistate income tax preparation and planning
- Estate and gift tax preparation and planning
- IRS and state audits (income, payroll, sales tax)
- Alternative minimum tax planning
- Basis calculations for businesses/investments
- Compensation/payroll planning
- Depreciation/179 planning
- International tax planning
- Net operating loss carrybacks
Originally from Monroe, Carl moved to Milwaukee to attend UW-Milwaukee where he double majored in accounting and finance, then earned master’s degrees in both accounting and taxation. Rounding out his tax background, he earned a certificate in state and local taxation (SALT certificate). Starting with the firm in 2007, Carl quickly moved through the ranks and became a shareholder in 2013.
He resides in Elm Grove, and in his free time enjoys golfing and shooting sporting clays in the summer along with following the Brewers and Packers.
